The ongoing Christian Association of Nigeria Youth Wing (YOWICAN), Jalingo Local Government Area Youth Week 2026, has continued to combine spiritual development with activities aimed at discovering and nurturing the talents and potentials of young people.
Under the leadership of Mr. Job Emmanuel Budzi, the programme has given prominence to sporting activities and talent development, providing Christian youths with opportunities to participate in healthy competition while showcasing their skills.
The sporting activities, which form part of the ongoing Youth Week programme, have attracted active participation from young people across the various groups, fostering unity, teamwork and friendship among participants.
Beyond sports, the Youth Week has also featured Bible recitation and quiz competitions, seminars and other activities designed to strengthen the faith, knowledge and leadership capacity of Christian youths.
The integration of sports and talent development into the programme reflects YOWICAN’s broader focus on developing young people spiritually, socially and intellectually, while creating platforms where they can discover and utilize their God-given potentials.
The Youth Week activities are continuing in Jalingo, with Christian youths participating in the various programmes lined up for the celebration.
