TRADITIONAL APPOINTMENT

The District Head of Jalingo and Galadima of Muri, Alhaji Lamido Abba Tukur, has appointed Malam Idrisu Wakili Isa as the Wakili Kambu of the Kambu Community in Jalingo, Taraba State.
The appointment, conveyed in a letter dated 3rd August 2026, followed his selection by members of the Kambu community residing in Jalingo in recognition of his commitment to promoting peaceful coexistence between the Kambu people and the broader Jalingo community.

As Wakili Kambu, Malam Idrisu will serve as a traditional title holder and Special Adviser to the Galadima of Muri on matters concerning the Kambu people, their culture, and community affairs. He is also expected to champion peace, unity, and harmonious relations among communities across Jalingo.

The appointment further enjoins him to demonstrate exemplary leadership, uphold the cherished traditions of the Jalingo District, and regard the office as a call to selfless service and community development.

The District Head congratulated the new Wakili Kambu and expressed confidence in his ability to discharge the responsibilities of the office with integrity, dedication, and fairness.
