TARABA STATE GOVERNMENT RECEIVES THE GOC OF THE NEWLY ESTABLISHED NIGERIAN ARMY 10 DIVISION IN JALINGO

His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, the Governor of Taraba State, has received the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the newly established Nigerian Army 10 Division, Jalingo, Major General CR Nnebeife.

General Nnebeife was recently deployed to Taraba State as the pioneer GOC of the newly established 10 Division, a development that further underscores the strategic importance of the State to national security.

Receiving the GOC on behalf of the Governor, the Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS), Chief Gebon Timothy Kataps, Esq assured the GOC and his team of the State Government’s readiness to provide the necessary support and cooperation for the effective take-off and operation of the Division.

Chief Kataps emphasized the commitment of Governor Agbu Kefas in strengthening collaboration with the Nigerian Army and other security agencies to promote peace, security and stability across the State.

The SGS subsequently led the GOC on an inspection tour of proposed facilities for the Division, including the General Muhammadu Buhari Housing Estate; the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) building along Wukari Road, and the permanent site designated for the new Army Division.

The visit marked an important step towards the operationalization of the Nigerian Army 10 Division in Jalingo and the strengthening of security architecture in Taraba State.
