The Presiding Bishop of Crown of Life Bible Church, Bishop Innocent Rubiruka Solomon, has urged Christians to rise above the pursuit of worldly gains and embrace the divine purpose for which God created them.
Speaking during the church's Sunday worship service, the cleric said many believers have become preoccupied with daily survival at the expense of their spiritual calling. He stressed that every Christian has a unique assignment from God and should live intentionally to fulfil it.
Bishop Solomon cited the biblical account of Daniel as an example of unwavering faith and commitment to God. He explained that Daniel's devotion and obedience earned him favour before King Nebuchadnezzar, demonstrating that those who honour God will, in turn, be honoured.
He encouraged believers to seek God above all else, noting that genuine commitment to God's kingdom brings lasting fulfilment. According to him, Christians should actively contribute to the growth of the Church, serve humanity, and make meaningful impacts in their communities and the nation.
Reflecting on his personal journey, Bishop Solomon recounted how he answered God's call into ministry in 1991 by leaving his career as a respected broadcaster. He said the decision marked a turning point in his life, adding that God's faithfulness has sustained him throughout his years of ministry.
The bishop also appealed for peace, unity, and love among believers and across society. He said his vision is to see Taraba State, Nigeria, and the world united in peace and harmony. He concluded the service by blessing the congregation, declaring August a month of manifesting God's divine nature, and extending happy new month wishes to all worshippers.
